Acquiring Citizenship through investment in Malta

Following the success and popularity of the Maltese Global Residence Program, the Government of Malta launched the Malta Individual Investor Program (IIP) by virtue of legal notice 47 of 2014.

The Maltese Individual Investor Program (MIIP) was launched by the Maltese Government in 2012 in order to attract foreign investment in to Malta. It offers investors and their families access to EU citizenship and one of the world's top 10 most powerful passports in just over 1 year.

The legislative framework provides an opportunity and structure for investors looking to obtain a European Union citizenship with a straight forward application process and minimal requirements.

The Malta IIP requires the investor to make an economic contribution to the country. Following this, and subject to thorough due diligence, background and application procedure checks, the applicants and their families are granted full EU citizenship.
